Under the new GI Bill, benefits allotted to veterans depend on the length of military service, the state where the college is located, if that college is a private or public school, and if the student is taking resident classes, online classes, or a combination of both. The payout benefits operate on a progressive scale correlated with service time, beginning with 40% coverage for a service period ranging from 90 days to 6 months and culminating with 100% coverage for 36 months’ service, or at least 30 days on active duty and a discharge due to a service-connected disability.

“We seek to ensure that no Canadian or US veteran forgoes an education due to a lack of knowledge regarding possible benefits,” said Kristel Picinic, Media Account Manager at EducationDynamics. “Affiliates joining our program will be able to earn money marketing for a genuinely good cause.”

Additionally, the new GI Bill offers more extensive benefit transferability to family members, housing and book stipends, and an expanded benefit period spanning 15 years from the last period of active duty of at least 90 aggregate days or more.
